Things are changing for the better in Monster Energy AMA Supercross. Never before, in the history of this great sport, have we had so many teams announce 250SX Regional division riders this early. NEVER.
As we outlined last week, most of the factory teams have already announced and we got another one late last week when Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing confirmed the coasts for their SEVEN rider squad.
Here is how it will break down:
West Region
Haiden Deegan
Michael Moisman
Cole Davies
East Region
Max Anstie
Nate Thrasher
Pierce Brown
Daxton Bennick
I must say, I’m a bit surprised that Davies, who is making his Supercross debut with the team in 2025, was sent to the West Region, but if Star 1) felt comfortable moving him up in 2025 and 2) sent him to the West Region he must be “flying at the test track”.
Also, no one has heard much about Mosiman since he suffered a season-ending neck injury last year, so I’m assuming by sending him to the West Region, he’s feeling healthy.
Finally, I do like how they split up Deegan, Anstie and Brown, who I feel is their best title chances next year.
