Host nation France topped Saturday’s qualifying races at the 2026 FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernée.
Led by MX2 rider Mathis Valin, who won his class, France looked dominant on home soil, finishing with a score of three. Romain Febvre added a second in MXGP, allowing France to drop Tom Vialle’s third-place finish in Open.
A week after clinching the 450SMX championship, Jorge Prado led Spain to second overall with a win in MXGP. MX2 World Champion Guillem Farres finished fourth in MX2, while EMX250 Champion Francisco Garcia stepped up to the 450 for the weekend and put in a solid sixth-place ride in Open, which Spain was able to drop.
Belgium finished third, led by Liam Everts’ second-place finish in Open. Lucas Coenen added a fifth in MXGP, while Sacha Coenen crashed while leading the MX2 race and finished seventh, which Belgium was able to drop.
Italy and Latvia rounded out the top five.
Team USA qualified seventh overall, one spot behind The Netherlands, with Levi Kitchen’s third-place finish in MX2 leading the way for the Americans.
