A Letter to Adam Cianciarulo Ahead of His Final Race

Dearest Adam Cianciarulo,

Hi, it’s your longtime friends from Vurbmoto.

We were initially bummed out in hearing that you weren’t going to be racing anymore, but then it hit us, you’re going to excel at anything that you do in life. We’ve known you since the early days, heck we even think Wes was in the room when you were born and he filmed your first steps. That’s not creepy at all…

We have footage of you absolutely shredding as a 4-6 year old and of course everything else after that and in between. You’re really the first athlete to truly get the full Vurb experience if you think about it. We’ve seen you move up through the age groups, we were there for your pro debut, your Monster Cup wins, all the way to the end of your racing era. A million video clips later and hey look at us. Who would have thought? Not me…

So, as you embark on your next journey in life after tomorrow night’s gate drop, we wish you the best of luck. We know that you’re destined for some type of media role, but we beg you to please not take our jobs. You can have Slaw’s job, but we need everyone else you know?

Wherever you end up you’ll do great. We aren’t worried one bit. Right now at the track you’re giving off cool high school teacher vibes in the final days of school. Just vibing out. We love it. I think that’s what we’ll miss the most. This entire season through your vlogs, your posts, other rider’s vlogs, and content you’ve kept it light and honest. That’s what we like to see.

You’ve accomplished so much in racing. You have a million amateur titles. seven career 250 MX wins, a 250MX Championship two 450MX wins, and 11 250SX wins, but that isn’t your best gift that you’ve given yourself. You’ve learned through the hardships of injuries to never give up on yourself and you’ve also learned that there is a bigger world out there other than racing. That world is filled with so much to accomplish and we’re excited to watch you chase that now.

Will we miss you on the track racing? Of course, but you have to remember that we miss K-Dub, Stew, RC, your hero MC, and Emig as well. So, we’re used to this feeling. We’re just excited to see what comes next for you. We think we know what is is, so just announce it already ya know?

Also, you’d be surprised to hear how many people associate you absolutely shredding your KX supermini with our brand. Seriously, when people think about Vurb, they think about videos of you wide open back in the day. It’s probably this video too, which is cool to think about. This was right after you signed your 5-year deal with Pro Circuit.

Thanks for always letting us bother you for content over the years and thanks for making sure that we had everything that we needed. You’re one of a kind.

We’ll see you at the races!

Sincerely,

Your Old Vurbmoto Friends
