Adam Cianciarulo Drops Some Insight on His Future On Dean Wilson’s ‘Banter With the Boys’

I know that I promised an Adam Cianciarulo week on Twitter (X) Saturday night. I haven’t forgot. I’ve been holding off a bit. After his crash during the first main event in St. Louis I’d assume that we wouldn’t hear an update on him until at least Monday or Tuesday this week.

AC is a tough guy, so to see him get up slowly from the crash and barely be able to get back on his bike, I assumed the worst, so in the heat of the moment I tweeted.

Barely even an hour later we had an update. Cianciarulo was okay, other than an ankle sprain.

Look, you don’t have to be an insider here to see that something is going on in the AC camp right now. I think I was kind of late to this party. I didn’t catch on until Indy when he crashed during one of the main events and he looked at the crowd and did a baseball ‘safe’ gesture.

Then Steve Matthes tweeted this on Saturday morning adding some heat to some of the rumors that are going around right now.

Then on Dean Wilson’s “Banter With the Boys”, Dean asked AC if he was doing outdoors and AC replied with a laugh and said,”You guys are going to find out real soon. Reaaaal soon.”

We aren’t going to say the ten letter word that starts with an ‘R’, but AC is laying it on pretty thick here.

Wilson who is no stranger to injuries himself, asked AC how his body was doing and how he was feeling. AC’s portion starts at 9:12 in the video, but the entire video is awesome. Dean-O is a national treasure.

“You get it, you see it in my eyes man.” Cianciarulo said. “I look like Kobe Bryant on the bench his last year every time I get home,” Cianciarulo said. “I go play pickleball for an hour and I come home and I’ve got ice on both shoulders, both knees, feet up, I’m like out for two hours.”

AC is the people’s champ. It’s a shame that only at the ripe age of 27 that his body is so beat up from his injuries in his career. He’s still got 3/4 of his life left to live! It’s absolutely insane that this sport can chew people up and spit them out, especially to our guy AC.

Stay up to date with Adam and eagerly await his next podcast, like me, by subscribing to his Plugged In Podcast (if you haven’t already). The week is almost over, so he should be putting a new episode out soon, right?

No matter what the news Matthes was alluding to, or what happens next, whether it be retirement, or a new deal, let’s go back to the ‘Golden Age’ of amateur moto with some footage VurbWes shot at Waldo in 2008 featuring AC, Ian Trettel, Jimmy Decotis, and Sean Lipanovich.
