In his first four races back from a serious leg injury that sidelined him for the entire Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, Casey Cochran has shown serious speed and promise, earning consecutive top 10 overalls at Thunder Valley and High Point.
Now, the Rockstar Energy GasGas Factory rider is dealing with another injury.
In the second 250 qualifying session at round 5 of the Pro Motocross Championship at Southwick, Cochran crashed and sustained a dislocated right shoulder, which caused him to miss both motos.
According to a team statement, Cochran is scheduled to undergo further evaluation on his injury this week and the team will provide an update at that time.
Sean Murphy, Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing Team Manager: “It was very unfortunate that Casey crashed during qualifying, resulting in a dislocated shoulder. He’s shown great potential so far this motocross season, and it’s tough to see him have to sit out at Southwick. We’re grateful to the Alpinestars medical crew for doing their best to get his shoulder back in safely. Casey will undergo an MRI next week and we’re hoping to have a clearer picture of the injury by the middle of the week.”
