Cooper Webb To Have Surgery On His Thumb Today

Star Racing Yamaha’s Cooper Webb is all set for surgery today to repair a torn UCL on his left thumb that he sustained in his heat race at the Birmingham Supercross. Since then, Coop has kept his injury a secret, before letting people know about it last week on social media.

Lucky for you guys, I investigated his injury, and gave you guys a HUGE heads up that he would need surgery to repair it.

Coop is wasting no time on this and he should make some nationals at the end of the summer.

“The doc said that I can be back on the bike at eight weeks,” Webb said in his Instagram update. “We’ll be back and try to race as many outdoor nationals as we can. Come back at SMX and try to get some redemption.”

Looking ahead to the Pro Motocross schedule, this puts Webb back on the bike after RedBud. We might see him back at Washougal on July 20, but if not we should have him back at the final three rounds if everything goes to plan.

Webb finished third place at Salt Lake City and finished second in the 450SX championship.
