Dammitt. This was not the news we were hoping for.
Ty Masterpool is pitting out of a damn rental car and came out at RedBud and finished sixth overall in the 250 Class. He backed it up with a 13th at Southwick and then put in an 11th in the first moto at Spring Creek. In the second moto he went down hard and injured his knee and the news is not good.
Yesterday on IG, Masterpool announced he sustained a broken kneecap and will undergo surgery on Friday. “They just have to screw my kneecap back together. I’m getting worked on by the best in the business and he said I’ll be 100% around 8 weeks,” he wrote in part.
This sucks. Ty was straight ripping this year. Below is his full update:
