For 34 years GUTS Racing has prided themselves on being the innovators in seat technology. If you’re looking for a comfortable and stylish place to park your rear end on your dirt bike then look no further. GUTS carries an extensive product line of seat covers and foam no matter what you ride!
Welcome back to the GUTS Power Rankings. If you are new here, remember, we (I) combined the 250 and 450 Classes, these rankings are not solely based on just results and all complaints can be directed here.
Lets just jump right into it. ADD brains have probably already left after reading 30 words.
10: Josh Mosiman
Media member by day, top 40 450 rider by… also day. Crazy the amount of talent some people have on a dirtbike. Don’t get me wrong, I know Josh rides a lot and under that orange helmet there is a lot of heart, but I highly doubt he was going full on David Goggins leading into Fox Raceway. Golf clap to a fellow media member. I will be shooting my shot at High Point.
9: Dante Oliveira
Dante is a multi-time off-road champion. He has 7 NGPC championships. A National Hare and Hound tilte. WORCS titles. West Hare Scrambles titles. And is an ISDE champion. And, apparently super fast in Pro Motocross. Dante showed up to Fox Raceway and went 19-15 for 16th overall in the 450 Class.
8: Seth Hammaker
Am I the only one that thought Ham Dog had at least a moto win or overall podium in his career? Weird, right? Great ride for Hammy and what a day for Mitch Payton the PC team. They needed it.
7: Lux Turner
There was a TON of talk about Lux leading into Supercross. Then he went out and broke his wrists prior to the season. By the end of the year, though, he was beginning to show why people were talking. I didn’t think he would do this well outdoors, but hot dang, that Fox ride was brilliant. I’m sure he’s fielding some calls from factory teams right now. Well, at least he should be.
6: Jorge Prado
Told you he would be a different Jorge Prado this year.
5: Nick Romano
I think people forget how highly-touted Romano was coming out of the amateur ranks. You don’t luck into Star Racing rides. Well, injuries rooned him at the start of his career and for a time, it looked like his career might be over. Mitch gave him another shot and boy is he delivering.
4: Julien Beaumer
That he is even racing a dirtbike is a medical miracle. That he led in his first race back…. WOW! Never question Julien’s heart going forward. Thanks, management.
3: Caden Dudney
16 years old!!!! Podium in just his third career Pro Motocross race!!! Feel like we should be talking about this more.
2: Jett Lawrence
Jett is far from 100% and that should scare the rest of the field. He’s only going to get better.
1: Hunter Lawrence
That Hunter can push aside his SX heartbreak, his lack of prep entering this outdoor season, and then just dog walk to a 1-1 shows the level of talent he possess.
