The opening round of the 2026 Pro Motocross Championship is in the books, and Fox Raceway delivered plenty of storylines. Hunter Lawrence kicked off the summer with a statement victory, the 250 Class showed just how unpredictable the title fight could be, and several riders added to their growing resumes with milestone performances. 450 Class
Hunter Lawrence’s Win
- Was the 1st 1-1 of his premier class career
- It was just his 2nd career 450 Pro Motocross overall win
- With his win he moves into the top 25 all-time in SMX League victories with 30 and SMX League podiums with 80
- The win ties David Bailey and Mike Kiedrowski for 24th while the podium ties Ron Lechien for 25th.
Jorge Prado’s Second
- Was his 1st career 450 Pro Motocross podium
- In 2025, his first year in the US, the multi-time World Champion made 11 starts and earned just 2 top-5 finishes
- It was his 3rd SMX League podium
Jett Lawrence’s Third
- Was the 1st time he’s lost in his career at Fox Raceway. He was a perfect 8-0 before last Saturday
- Was only the 4th time he’s failed to win in the premier class
- He has 26 career podium finishes in 28 starts in his 450 career
- It was his 125th career SMX League start and his 88th podium. He sits 24th all-time, one spot ahead of Hunter

250 Class
Seth Hammaker’s Win
- Was the 1st of his 250 Pro Motocross career
- He becomes the 95th different 250SMX winner in Pro Motocross
- It was also his 1st career 250 podium
- In his previous 31 career outdoors starts he secured 3 top-5 finishes
- It was his 5th career SMX League victory, the other 4 coming in SX
Caden Dudney’s Second
- Was the 1st podium of his career
- He raced 2 rounds in 2025 and scored 2 top 20 overalls
Cole Davies’ Third
- Was his 1st career Pro Motocross podium
- It was Davies 3rd career start in Pro Motocross
- It was his 25th career SMX League start and 14th podium
- All 3 podium finishers earned their first Pro MX podium at Pala, a rare feat that most recently occurred at the Foxborough SX last year with Chance Hymas, Cullin Park and Gage Linville
