The Fans Storming the Track While the Race Was Going on Was the Most Florida Move Ever

For many decades, fans storming the field or court has been a staple in football and basketball. Yet, leave it to Florida to bring that move to supercross racing. After all, it was Sprang Breaaaak!

It seemed as though once Jett Lawrence crossed the finish line to take the 450 class main event win, the fans immediately peed their pants and forgot who they were. While the race was finishing up, pandemonium broke out, hundreds of fans jumped the fence, and charged through the race track to the podium. They didn’t seem to care that they had to dodge through bikes, Tuff Blocks, dig dugs, ruts the size of their gators, and JT’s biceps on their journey.

Could you imagine how Jason Anderson felt when he saw the crew of Duck Dynasty charging at him as he’s trying to finish the race in NINTH? Bro had to dodge through Pickett’s charge while trying to lock in a top ten and you know he’s just hating his life already. Now he has to deal with all you knuckleheads who have been pounding enough ales to make an elephant sick.

What started all of this nonsense? I have my theories. I truly believe that floor announcer Wes Kain got the crowd too hyped and his constant “SOMEBODY SCREAM” taunts got them feeling some type of way.

Guys, just move the podium location next year. That will fix all of this.

The fans did this last year, right? Did they just wait until the track was clear? The event next year will make sure that this can’t happen again, but this year’s Daytona will forever will be known as, “The night the fans stormed the track”.

Good job Florida. This is why we can’t have nice things.
