Slawdictions for St. Louis: Eli Tomac Breaks Tie with Chad Reed

Following a week off, Monster Energy AMA Supercross is back, which means Slaw is here bring you some flame, fire, fuego, feu, Пожар predictions for St. Louis.

NONE of this would be possible without the folks at FLY Racing, who have stepped in to support Slaw and #slawnation couldn’t be happier. Visit www.flyracing.com and support those who support Slaw.

I already reviewed my picks from Seattle last week, but you may have missed it (shame on you if so), so here they are again.

Prediction | Craig Continues to Roll

The West Region has been off a long time, so you might have forgotten this series belongs to Christian Craig. He’s won four of six rounds and holds a healthy points lead. The break doesn’t matter to Craig as he continues to roll toward his first career title in Seattle.

I posted this on social prior to Seattle….

Well, as it turns out it did protect Craig from Vince, but NOT Michael Mosiman. Craig still got second so I’ll take that.

Slawdiction: 5 out of 10.

Prediction | Tomac Wins Again, Ties Reed

Crazy to think, but Eli Tomac has a legit shot at catching James Stewart for second all-time in Supercross wins. Tomac, currently sitting at 43, only trails Stew by seven. Let’s say he races for two more years, one would think he could catch the Stew. First up though is Chad Reed, who has 44 wins. Tomac wins in Seattle and ties Reed at 44 for fourth all-time.

Is this the best Eli Tomac we’ve ever seen? At 29? I mean, it could be argued. Eli is rolling right now and Seattle was a damn master class. He’s now tied with Reed and the way he’s been riding, maybe he catches RC before the end of the year?

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction | Moose Can Podiums Again

Marv is having a sneaky good season. He really is. I think Seattle will rut up like Indy and Marvin thrives in these type of conditions. He captures a second straight podium this weekend.

When you right, you right. Right?

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction | Friese Holeshots

Vince Friese is back in the 250 Class this weekend and you know what that means…. HOLESHOT CITY, BABY! HE’S A DIAPER DANDY WITH THE HOLESHOTS!

I wrote this before I posted the above photo of Craig. OF COURSE CRAIG WAS GOING TO GET THE HOLESHOT AFTER DOING MILITARY TRAINING BEFORE THE RACE. This should not count against me.

Slawdiction: Incomplete.

Prediction | Karnow Signs an Exclusive Only Fans Deal

Logan Karnow wrote on his IG story that he turned down a fill-in ride for this weekend, which can only mean one thing: He’s signed an exclusive deal with Only Fans!

Karnow out here changing the sponsorship game.

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Let’s take it to St. Louis, the Crown Jewel of the series….

Mookie Wins a Race (?), Main (?)

I’m still not quite sure what we are calling these races (?), mains (?) or whatever of the Triple Crown formats. What I do know is, Mookie is winning one of them. I’d had Mookie Fever all damn season (or maybe it’s COVID?) and with a short main and a good start, he finally gets it done. I DO NOT think he wins the overall, though.

Jett Continues to Roll

The 250SX East Region is back and once again, Jettson will get it done. Bold, I know.

Side note: Check out our very long interview with the CEO of Jettson Donuts.

Chiz Will Chiz

I honestly can’t remember if Chiz is racing the 450 or 250 Class this weekend. What I do know is that he will be Chizzing all over the field.

Okay, I checked, he’s racing 250, which he will Chizz all over.

Logan Karnow Will Have the Best Title Sponsor of the Weekend

Pretty sure this is already confirmed.

Tomac Breaks Tie with Reed

Member when I said Mookie won’t win the overall? It’s because Eli Tomac will and in the process will break a tie with Chad Reed for fourth all-time on the Monster Energy AMA Supercross wins list.
