Slawdictions for Hangtown: That’s a Wrap

WE MADE IT! After 17 rounds of Monster Energy Supercross and 12 rounds of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross one would think Slaw would be all out of bold ass, fire predictions! And you would be WRONG. Let’s get into the final round at Hangtown. Thank you everyone for supporting the most-read moto column (I think. Can’t confirm) on the Internet. Slaw Nation for LIFE!

NONE of this would be possible without the folks at FLY Racing, who have stepped in to support Slaw and #slawnation couldn’t be happier. Visit www.flyracing.com and support those who support Slaw. Also, they recently just dropped their 2022 line and it’s fire!!!!!

Prediction

There Will Be 5 “Where Is Grant Langston” Vital Threads Created on Saturday. Just sayin….

I didn’t check, but I’ll assume I was correct on this. You’re welcome!

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction

Dylan Ferrandis leads Ken Roczen by 50 entering Saturday, so all he needs to do is gain one point on Kenny to claim the title. LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK, Dylan gets the damn thing done and delivers Yamaha it’s first title since Langston in 2007.

LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK delivers once again.

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

I didn’t check, but I’ll assume I was correct on this. You’re welcome!

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction

Jett has caught fire at just the right time and had a huge points swing last weekend. And don’t forget, he’s won the last two overalls at Fox Raceway. I like him for the overall again, as he nears his first title.

Slaw, like Jett, is on FIRE!!!!!

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction

Team USA is expected to be announced tomorrow. Call it a hunch, but I don’t think it gets announced. Stay tuned.

Moments after this was posted, the AMA announced Team USA would withdraw from the MXoN, thus capping off the FIRST-EVER PERFECT 10 FOR 10 Slawdictions column in history. Please credit Slaw, I had it first. Thanks!

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

On to the FINAL ROUND at Hangtown….

Mosiman Grabs a Moto Win

Since returning from injury, Michael Mosiman has been ON FIRE. I really think he could have won the first moto last weekend at Fox Raceway 2 if he didn’t crash. But he did and he didn’t. Ifs and buts. Well, this weekend I think he finally gets it done and grabs his first career moto win. He’s from NoCal, so what a better place and time? There isn’t one.

Jett Captures the Title

Lawrence only needs to score 27 points to bring this championship home, and that’s if Justin Cooper is perfect. Yeah, I like Jett in this scenario. LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK!

Tomac Wins Another Overall

I know, I know. I said I was DONE with Eli Tomac predictions. But, dammit, I can’t help myself. Crazy it took the three-time champ until round 10 to get an overall win, but now he has two straight! With Ferrandis already having wrapped up the title, I like Tomac to grab a third straight to end the season and his time with Kawasaki.

A LOT of Riders Won’t Care About This Race

Look, the supercross/motocross season is brutal! And super long! And brutal! Dudes are straight up exhausted and counting down the days until they can enjoy a cold Twisted Tea on a beach. Expect some dudes to straight up, NOT GIVE A F*** this weekend.

Shimoda Another Overall Podium

Sushi has been on a ROLL recently. I’ll see myself out. Anyway, following his runner-up finish at Ironman and fourth overall at Fox Raceway 2, I think he returns to the podium this weekend.
