Slawdictions for Budds Creek: Jett Rolls to the Points Lead

WE’RE BACK, BABY! Kids don’t like reading long stories these days, so I’ll keep the intro short and sweet. Read on for some fire ass bold predictions for Budds Creek.

NONE of this would be possible without the folks at FLY Racing, who have stepped in to support Slaw and #slawnation couldn’t be happier. Visit www.flyracing.com and support those who support Slaw. Also, they recently just dropped their 2022 line and it’s fire!!!!!

Prediction

Put RedBud in the rearview. (Remember he raced there before Loretta’s.) Levi Kitchen, fresh off his Horizon Award, gets to work this weekend! Calling a top five moto finish! Stamp it! Yes, that’s a lot of exclamation points! I’m pumped to watch him!

WE had this. The Kitchen was cooking late in the second moto and was running FIFTH!!!! Then he got passed by Max Vohland and Austin Forkner and finished seventh, killing Slaw’s hopes and dreams in the process.

Slawdiction: 1 out of 10.

Prediction

Marv Musquin has been, well…. not the Marv we’re used to this year. That changed at Washougal, where he landed his first moto podium and finished fourth overall. With two weeks off, I think Marv is gonna come out firing this weekend. Further, he’s always pretty good at Unadilla, which will only help matters.

I TOLD YOU Marv has found his groove. Listen to Slaw when it comes to these things. Not only did Marv get a top five, he landed on the overall podium in third!

Slawdiction: 900 out of 10.

Prediction

How weird is it that we’re seven rounds in and Eli Tomac doesn’t have an overall and only two moto wins? Strange, right! Well, why I don’t think Eli captures the overall at Dilla, I do like him for a moto win.

I WILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER ELI TOMAC PREDICTION. I WILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER ELI TOMAC PREDICTION. I WILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER ELI TOMAC PREDICTION. I WILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER ELI TOMAC PREDICTION. I WILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER ELI TOMAC PREDICTION. I WILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER ELI TOMAC PREDICTION.

Slawdiction: -9 out of 10.

Prediction

Jeremy Martin is dealing with a ton of injuries, yet has still won 3 of the last 4 250 motos. Giving him two weeks off to let his injuries heal spells trouble for the field. 1-1 for J-Mart-Dog this weekend.

J-Mart was GREAT at SlawDilla, but no one was touching Donut Boy, as Martin so eloquently put it.

Slawdiction: 3 out of 10.

Prediction

Yeah, Kitchen is stealing the headlines, but don’t forget, Preston Killroy is also racing this weekend. He raced two rounds last year, finishing 17th at Thunder Valley and 34th at Fox Raceway. BUT THAT WAS LAST YEAR! He was super impressive at the Ranch and I like him for a top 15 this weekend. LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK.

NOT ONLY DID HE GET A TOP 15 IN A MOTO, HE FINISHED 10TH IN THE SECOND MOTO. Read Slawdictions, get smarter. It’s science, people.

Slawdiction: 100 out of 10.

On to Budds Creek…..

Jett Retakes the Points Lead

The Jett was back at SlawDilla, taking his first overall since the opener. Pretty crazy that he hadn’t won an overall since the start of the season, but dem the facts. With his overall last weekend, he now trails Justin Cooper by just four points. I think he erases that this weekend and retakes the points lead.

Sexton Overall Podium

Throw away that crash in the first moto at Dilla. Doesn’t count. Over the last five motos, Sexton has gone 3-1-3-11-2. Yeah, he’s been super impressive. I like that to continue this weekend with an overall podium. Heck, he may even win the damn thing.

The 800 Gets a Top 15

No, Mike Alessi is not returning to racing. Rookie Jace Kessler is now running #800 and at Unadilla last weekend, he had a great ride in the first moto with a 13th. I like another top 15 finish for the 800 this weekend.

Anstie Continues Recent Run

Over the last six motos, Max Anstie has been solid going 9-11-9-12-8-9. Honestly, Anstie should be in the top 10 every weekend. He’s had some struggles this year, but he’s turning the corner. I like him for another double top 10 this weekend. LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK.

TLD Hires Slaw For Budds

Member when TLD teased a guest rider last year? While the spot didn’t go to Andrea Carson, it was still a cool idea from the team. Well, with the entire team out for this weekend, I Slaw, am offering up my services as a fill-in. I’ve reached out to Tyler Keefe regarding the opening and expect to make my debut this weekend!
