RV2 World Mini at Mesquite Will Be a 75x Prospect Elite Event

The RV2 World Mini Grand Prix presented by GoPro and Michelin (April 23–26 at Mesquite MX) has officially been designated a Prospect Elite Event, carrying a 75x multiplier inside the Vurbmoto Prospect ranking system. For riders chasing Prospect ranking points, that means one thing: massive movement on the leaderboard.

Hosted at Mesquite MX just outside Las Vegas, the RV2 World Mini Grand Prix stands as the longest-running amateur motocross event in the country, carrying a legacy that stretches back more than five decades. But history isn’t the only thing that makes World Mini special.

The event also features a unique MXGP-style format, rarely used at amateur races in the United States, designed to give riders maximum track time and multiple opportunities to battle for position.

Each class features:
• One 15-minute practice session
• A 5-lap qualifying race to determine gate pick
• Two 15-minute motos averaging 7-8 laps per moto

Between practice, qualifying, and racing, riders will log roughly 26 laps per class, making World Mini one of the most track-time-heavy events in amateur motocross.

Beyond the unique race format and history of the event, the 2026 edition now carries additional significance inside the Vurbmoto Prospect app.

Why Does It Matter?

Within the Vurbmoto Prospect app, riders are ranked using a data-driven algorithm built around real race results. The system evaluates three primary factors:

• Event Size
• Event Multiplier
• Gate Size Multiplier

Together, these metrics ensure riders are rewarded for performing well in deeper, more competitive fields. While the National Rankings reset every year, Prospect also maintains an all-time ranking which tracks a rider’s lifetime points across their racing career.

Not all races are created equal. For example, an AMA Major Event is a 100X multiplier while an AMA Regional Qualifier is 60x.

The system adjusts for class size, which allows events outside of those on the Event Multiplier list the ability to have higher points rewards.

To understand the impact World Mini could have, consider the following scenario. If a rider wins a class featuring 40 riders at the event, they could earn over 2,400 Prospect ranking points in a single race.

Here’s how that calculation works:

• 1st Place Base Points: 26
• Event Multiplier: 75x
• Gate Size Multiplier (40 riders): 1.25

Total Points Earned
• 26 × 75 × 1.25 = 2,437.5 Prospect Points

Every rider that lines up is eligible, no matter their current ranking or class. Interested in learning more about how the system works? Read the full breakdown HERE
