TLD and GasGas Done?
If you missed this massive report from Steve Matthes last week on Racer X, go read it.
According to Mister Matthes, Troy Lee Designs and GasGas may be going their separate ways after the season. Here is part of the report:
TLD has been a partner with KTM since 2016 with either KTMs or recently the GasGas brand but from what I’ve learned recently that partnership is in danger of being no more for 2025. KTM has expressed a desire to bring the GasGas brand in house and team it with the existing Rockstar Energy Husqvarna squad. In combing the two teams into one, costs will be down across the board and can still highlight the two brands.
Steve had Justin Barcia on the PulpMX Show on Monday and BamBam acknowledged he had heard the rumors, but didn’t go much further than that.
Look, these rumors have been going on for a while now and Slaw thinks where there is smoke, there is fire. The move makes sense for the KTM Group, as it would significantly reduce costs, etc. In the report, Steve mentioned TLD meeting with Ducati and honestly, this makes so much sense it needs to happen.
At the end of the day, if this move(s) were to happen it suits all parties for the best long-term.

Look, I have ZERO problem with any of this. No problem with the fans doing it — has anyone ever been to ANY other sporting event? This is child’s play, literally. I also have no problem with Vital posting it. 1) Yes, they knew it would get engagement and guess what, welcome to social media circa 2024 and 2) If you hold a sign like that in 2024, YOU KNOW you are going to end up on the Internet — either through Vital or one of the 50,000 people at Fox Raceway with cameras attached to their hands. In more ways than one…
1) Dean just trying to ride off into the sunset, not take out the champ. His socials would have been a flaming hot dumpster fire if either went down.
2) He’s racing in Australia this weekend and yeah, those blokes might have hurt him badly. Luckily, we can just watch and thank the Moto Gods both are okay.
