Morning Espresso: Inside Pro Circuit’s 300 Wins; Pro Motocross Purse and Ranking Chicken Sandwiches

Welcome to Morning Espresso, an awesome piece presented by MotoSport.com. Go check out RDRCO (pronounced “rider-co”) as the company’s exclusive riding gear. This new gear line offers an affordable option for weekend riders and the casual racer.

PC 300 Wins

When Ty Masterpool won his first career overall at High Point, it was truly special event. Not only had Ty worked his way back into a factory ride, but he won a damn overall. The story of the summer some would say.

Making it even better? It was Mitch Payton’s Pro Circuit team 300th win. Mitch, some might say, is the GOAT of team owners. Who else has done it this long and been this successful? No, factory Honda or Yamaha don’t count. Seriously, someone please drop a comment on who has done better…..

Still waiting…..

In their Inside the Shop newsletter this week, PC put some damn respect on the 300 wins and the history.

Check this out:

Looking back, it was Brian Swink’s groundbreaking win in 1991 at the Orlando, Florida, Supercross in the 125ESX class that kicked off the team’s supremacy, to the unmatched dominance of legends like Ricky Carmichael and Ryan Villopoto, who exemplify the team’s excellence through the years.

Carmichael still leads a long list of 39 different winning riders with an astounding 38 wins, while Villopoto follows with 30 victories under the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki tent. In addition to these two champions, Adam Cianciarulo (18 wins), Christophe Pourcel (18), Blake Baggett (17), Austin Forkner (14), Dean Wilson (13), Jeremy McGrath (12), Joey Savatgy (12), Jake Weimer (11), Ivan Tedesco (11), and Grant Langston (10) all collected double-digit wins in their careers under Mitch Payton.

Simply amazing. Congrats to Mitch, everyone that has ridden and worked there over the years.

Pro Motocross Purse Money

There always seems to be complaints on the purse money for AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross. I get it. We all want it to be more, but it’s probably not as bad as most of you assume. Heck, most people didn’t even know how much it is. Shame on us for not providing more info on it, but hey, Weege took to Twitter this week and dove into it and I’m shocked how many people didn’t know the answer. Now you do. Thank me later. Or now. Up to you.

Chicken Sandwiches, Ranked

Yes, this is based on fast food places. National ones that is. This ain’t based off the random Bubba’s Chickens or whatever in southern Ohio. I’m talking big places. Enjoy and spread the word on the best list ever.
