Garrett Marchbanks Moving to 450 Class Beginning at Thunder Valley

It’s been a tough start to the AMA Pro Motocross Championship for the Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha squad.

Jeremy Martin suffered a season ending injury last weekend at Hangtown. He has already undergone one surgery, but faces more.

Meanwhile, Garrett Marchbanks, who himself is coming off an injury that cost him all of Monster Energy Supercross, has struggled to find his form.

Well, beginning this weekend, Garrett is making the move to the 450 Class, the team announced today.

Here is what was said in their pre-race press release:

“Even though Garrett has lost weight and turns leader speed lap times, he cannot seem to get the starts off the grates to be up front. Sooooo, starting at Thunder Valley, he will be our first racer to enter an event on the new 2023 Yamaha 450F platform. You are reading that correctly. Garrett Marchbanks makes the move to the 450 class this weekend.”

Marchbanks is no stranger to the 450 Class in Pro Motocross, as he raced it last year and finished 12th overall.
