Vurbmoto Power Rankings Heading into Seattle Supercross

Welcome to the 2023 Slaw/VurbWes/Troy Dog Combined 250/450 Top Ten Power Rankings! Slaw, Wes, and Troy each have created their own list of who they believe carry the most power in the sport. They each have created their own categories and have weighted these people accordingly, whether its speed, following, SX skills, you name it.

Each week these rankings will be updated so that you guys can argue about how wrong they are in the comment section! Feel free to tell us if we’re right/wrong/or completely dumb.

Slaw’s Rankings

Slaw Dog: I will bullet point my thoughts so it is easier to read. Troy Dog has a hard time reading, so I’m making it easy for him to see how much better my rankings are.

  • Despite ME being the bigger person and burying the beef with Troy Dog and despite ME making a special spot for Troy in my Power Rankings last week, we are back beefing. None of these things were good enough for Troy. Honestly, its best this way. Feels better.
  • Ginger is headed to Nashville (Troy has to get there somehow) and is about to write more fire blogs. She’ll probably be #1 in my rankings after that race.
  • Did you guys know WE (Vurb that is) are teaming up with PulpMX to stream the Privateer Challenge race in Denver? Whelp, we are. Also, Steve Matthews promoted World Mini. Thanks, sir!
  • World Mini is SOOOO BACK! Pre-reg before April 1 and get 30% off shopvurb.com.
  • We must protect AP at all costs.
  • More press conferences like last week please.
  • Paul Webb is getting hot, doggies. Watch out.
  • Hunter, so hot rn. Also cool stat about him and Jett. Check it!

Troy’s Rankings

Troy Dog: Just wait until you see my vlog from Indy where I was Marshal Weltin for the day. I got so into character at one point while I had his gear on that I didn’t say a word to him. This vlog is coming and it will change your life.

Many people were completely offended on Twitter this week when I said that Olive Garden was better than The Cheesecake Factory. I haven’t eaten at the factory of cheesecakes in over a decade, so I was basically trolling to agree with my buddy Denny Stephenson. I do really like the breadsticks and endless salad, and although that Tour of Italy was cooked in a microwave, it still is jumpin.

My wife Ginger Dog would be on my list every week if possible. I don’t because that would bore everyone. She’s on here this week because she’s the one pushing for us to go to the Nashville SX. So, I’m pretty sure I’ll see you there. Good job Ginger.

Grant Harlan should be the 450SX Rookie of the Year. I did an interview with my OG Squad member to talk about how well he’s been riding. People are noticing him and the progress he’s making is insane. Good job Har Dog!

Cooper Webb is going to be hard to stop in these final 7 rounds. He’s got the red plate and it’s not going to be easy to take it from him. Good luck 450 class.

The 250 press conference was embarrassing to watch as a whole. No one learned anything and it was a waste of everyone’s time. Hopefully the sport can learn from this and get better.

Jett is back! I’m going to count every time his name gets mentioned on the broadcast this weekend compared to Eli Tomac’s. I loved his comments on the PulpMX Show when he was talking about being shoved down everyone’s throats. Regardless, he’s the future and we get to watch him race in Seattle.

AEO Powersports KTM rider Derek Kelley, also on my Troy Dog Squad, is having himself a career best year. He’s put in a lot of work in the weeks off according to his trainer Evan Nystrom and they’re looking for their best results yet.

Kirk Dog (@playerk13) was the Squad team manager at Detroit in my absence. He does a great job supporting the squad as he’s a squad member himself. He’s one of the nicest people in moto and is undefeated when it comes to security. Although his basketball skills are questionable, he makes the list.

World Mini is back. WE brought it back to Mesquite on April 6-9 and you need to pre-register.

VurbWes had dance class and didn’t find time to submit. Shame.
