Unquotables, Anaheim 1: “He’s Only Got 71 to Go, Right?”

The opening round of the 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Championship was this past weekend in Anaheim. And while there were a TON of great quotes during the press conference and such, we went deeper. And got things riders 100000000 PERCENT DID NOT SAY.

Without further ado, these are things that definitely WERE NOT said by the riders or personnel after the first round of the 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Championship, but we all know they were thinking it.

Producer: “Lets show replays upon replays, rather than the actual racing that’s happening. Everyone will love that.”

Live Timing: “We definitely don’t need to show up until about halfway through the races, nothing happens in these first few laps.”

Hunter Lawrence: “I can’t wait to make my 450 main debut in San Francisco.”

Riders: “I love talking about other riders. I know I can talk freely about them, and don’t even consider the repercussions with what I say. It’s probably the most fun questions I get asked.”

James Stewart: “He’s only got 71 to go, right?” (Yes, he actually said this)

Jett Lawrence: “Only 71 to go.”

Phil Nicoletti: “Mutha %$^$&%*^! bike.”

Every 250 rider: “Nothing has actually changed since I swapped teams, except I just got older.”

Every 250 rider part 2: “I actually really appreciate everything my old team did for me, and I’m sad to leave.”
