Slawdictions for Salt Lake City: SLC Gets Fried

WE MADE IT! The final round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross is this weekend in Salt Lake City and while you probably thought Slaw would be out of hot takes by now, you’d be DEAD FING WRONG. Let’s run this till the end!

NONE of this would be possible without the folks at FLY Racing, who have stepped in to support Slaw and #slawnation couldn’t be happier. Visit www.flyracing.com and support those who support Slaw.

As always, we will first review my predictions from the last round in Denver… WHERE I WENT A PERFECT 5 FOR 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prediction | Eli Clinches, Craig Does Not

As we outlined this week, both Eli Tomac and Christian Craig can clinch the 450 and 250SX West Region titles this weekend. Go read for more in-depth, but in simple terms: Eli just needs to finish 14th or better and if Craig wins, he clinches no matter what. Eli is a lock in my book! Hunter is hot right now so I think he pushes this thing to Vegas…er… Salt Lake City.

Listen, I hate to brag, but dang, did I not call this?

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction | Anderson Wins Again

I really thought Anderson would pack it in after falling out of the championship hunt. And boy, was I wrong. Dude is on Fried right now and he continues his winning streak this weekend in Mile High Stadium.

Listen, I hate to brag, but dang, did I not call this?

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction | Hunter Wins

Like I said, I like Hunter to push the title one more week, which means he really needs to win. He won in Atlanta against EVERYONE, so why not this weekend? Exactly.

Listen, I hate to brag, but dang, did I not call this?

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction | We Hear 500 Complaints on Moto Twitter About It Being a Day Race

Look, I get it: Day races aren’t for everyone. But guess what helps the sport grow? Having afternoon coverage on N B “Fing” C. Back-to-back rounds on broadcast TV is a big deal and if that means we start early I’m fine with it. Don’t @ me.

Listen, I hate to brag, but dang, did I not call this?

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction | Malcolm Back on the Podium

It’s been Detroit since Mook Dog has gotten on the podium. LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK: HE’S BACK THIS WEEKEND!

Listen, I hate to brag, but dang, did I not call this?

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

I seriously don’t think I can repeat last week, but I shall give it a go….

Craig Clinches

Look, I know, not exactly a BOLD prediction. But, hey, that can’t all be fire takes. Craig only needs to finish 14th or better to clinch and let’s just say, I really like his chances.

The PulpMX Privateer Race is a Blood Bath

Oh, man. Throwing up $100K to a bunch of privateers and these animals are going to SEND IT! In case you missed it, we here at Vurb are tossing in $1000 to the pot. Check out more.

Troy Dog Misses His Flight

Ole Troy Dog isn’t going to Salt Lake City this weekend, but that won’t stop him from missing a flight! LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK.

SLC Gets Fried

Jason Anderson is en fuego right now. And with no Eli Tomac, I look for him to close the season strong with yet ANOTHER WIN!

Karnow Wins Privateer Challenge

When he does, we better some OnlyFans sponsors on the podium. Just sayin.
