Slawdictions for Salt Lake City 2: Champions Will Be Crowned

Well, we made it. Sixteen rounds down with one more to go and Slaw has been here for you all year delivering fire predictions. Thank you for making this the #1 column on Vurb for the supercross season. Slaw will be rewarding you with another round of flaming hot predictions for the final round of Monster Energy Supercross this Saturday.

Prediction

I called Eli for the win at Atlanta 1 and I was right on the money, like usual. Well, I’m here to tell you again that Eli gets it done tomorrow. Cooper will be in championship mode and this will allow Eli to pick up the W. Remember how good he was here last year? Exactly.

NEVER DOUBT MARVIN MUSQUIN. NEVER DOUBT MARVIN MUSQUIN. NEVER DOUBT MARVIN MUSQUIN. NEVER DOUBT MARVIN MUSQUIN. NEVER DOUBT MARVIN MUSQUIN. NEVER DOUBT MARVIN MUSQUIN. NEVER DOUBT MARVIN MUSQUIN. NEVER DOUBT MARVIN MUSQUIN.

Wait… what?

Slawdiction: -3 out of 10.

Prediction

Lots of Christian Craig flying at the test track stuff floating around. Do I always believe that stuff? No. Do I believe it in regards to Craig? Yes. He gets the W this weekend and closes the gap on Nichols.

Craig was FLYING in qualifying and I firmly believe he could have won the damn main event if he had not broken his leg in a nasty crash in qualifying. Sucks for Craig and all of Slaw Nation.

Slawdiction: 0 out of 10.

Prediction

If Craig doesn’t win, then I have the Jett. But seeing as I’m 99 percent accurate with my predictions, Jett won’t win. So I have him on the podium. Thank me later.

NEVER DOUBT JO SHIMODA. NEVER DOUBT JO SHIMODA. NEVER DOUBT JO SHIMODA. NEVER DOUBT JO SHIMODA. NEVER DOUBT JO SHIMODA. NEVER DOUBT JO SHIMODA. NEVER DOUBT JO SHIMODA. NEVER DOUBT JO SHIMODA. NEVER DOUBT JO SHIMODA. NEVER DOUBT JO SHIMODA. NEVER DOUBT JO SHIMODA.

Wait… what?

Slawdiction: 8 out of 10.

Prediction

Love what I’ve been seeing out of AP. What a career turnaround this dude has pulled off this year. It continues this weekend with a podium.

Slawdiction: -4 out of 10.

Prediction

LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK. Mr. Fried finds a way not to get docked positions this weekend. Stamp it.

HE DID IT. Mr. Fried failed to get docked positions last weekend. LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK always comes true.

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Let’s move on to Slaw Lake City 2.

No Neck Marv Stays Hot

Marv won without a neck brace and all of Ryno Nation celebrated!!!! I don’t see Marv winning again, but I do like him for another top five. It’s been a weird year for Marvin, but I think he’s getting hot at the right time.

Mosiman Podiums

I really thought Michael Mosiman was the fastest guy last Saturday. I also thought his race craft was seriously lacking. Look, I don’t like arm chair quarterbacking these things, but hey, even Mosiman admitted it.

“I felt like I was the fastest guy out there today, I just crumbled on the race craft, trying to make passes in spots that weren’t ideal, and it cost me the win,” he said in a team statement. “I believe I was the guy that should have been winning and it’s disappointing but I’m trying to learn from it. I will be better going forward.”

I like him for a podium this weekend.

Champions Will Be Crowned

LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK ALERT. I’m really going out on a bun here, but Cooper Webb, Justin “Not Webb” Cooper and Colt Nichols will all clinch their respective titles this weekend.

Cooper’s Don’t Podium

Both Justin “Not Webb” Cooper and Cooper Webb will be in championship mode and I don’t think either will podium this weekend. Did I just doubt Cooper Webb? I did and will probably regret it.

Ferrandis Podiums

Yep, calling it right now, Ferrandis lands on the box for the first time since his surprise runner-up finish at round 2 in Houston.
