Prediction | Half the Field Ends Up at Waste Management, Hammered

It’s always surprised me how many riders enjoy golf. You wouldn’t think the two sports go together, but here we are. One of the craziest events of the golf calendar–The Waste Management Open–is down the road at Scottsdale and that place is electric. I could totally see AP showing up there on Sunday, no shirt, chugging a beer. Amazing.

This event was an amazing disaster. People were so hammered they literally cut off alcohol sales. No idea if any riders made it, but assuming some did.

Tomac Rebounds

No idea what happened to Tomac last weekend. I’ve heard just about everything. Star Racing team manager Jeremy Cooker did tell the Weege: “There was not a shock failure in any way,” wrote Coker today in a text message. “His current shock setup is good on harder, drier tracks. When we got to the sticky, rutty dirt like this weekend it sucked the rear of the bike down and in turn gave him arm pump.”

So, there’s that. Either way, Tomac rebounds this weekend with a podium.

I know very little about hip injuries, so I’m hesitant to put expectations on the Har Dog’s return. Can he still unlock his hips? If so, I expect big things.

Masterpool Debuts

Supercross has not come easy for Mister Masterpool and now he’s jumping into the 450 Class in a field that has six races under their belts. Honestly, I think if he makes the main that’s a win in his and my book.
