Sexton Offers Apology To Webb on Social Media

Chase Sexton and Cooper Webb came together in the closing laps of the San Diego Main Event on Saturday night and it wasn’t to bro down and have a potluck dinner.

The slight collision allowed race leader Aaron Plessinger just enough time to get out of the danger zone of being caught by Webb. It looked like a race incident on TV, but Webb thought differently in the press conference after the race.

“Two to go, from my perspective, the one (Sexton) got out of AP’s way and then charged forward to not be out of my way,” Webb said. “We both hit and about went down, so I was a little bummed on that. It is what it is. I was getting lapped last weekend and I thought I was pretty respectful.”

You can check out Webb’s comments around seven minutes into the press conference below:

For his part, Chase offered an apology to Webb on Instagram on Sunday, which you can see below.

You know we don’t like to comment on racing incidents, but go check social media comments. We’re sure there are a few there.
