Okay, that was a much needed week off from racing for all of us, especially Jett Lawrence, right? WE here at Vurbmoto don’t take time off though. We just came off of a very awesome World Mini Grand Prix and we’ve been trying to catch our tails since.
You know what would hit the spot right about now? How about we check out the millions of storylines that we may have forgotten about in Monster Energy Supercross? It’s been a little while since we’ve dropped the gate, but son’t worry we’ve got you.
Here are some things to watch for at round 13 in Foxborough, MA. We’re racing in the house that Tom Brady built!!!
- Hunter Lawerence has been building momentum at the past few rounds and he brought home his first 450SX podium at the St. Louis Triple Crown. He now sits tenth in the standings as well.
- Coty Schock just signed a three-year extension with the Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha team.
- It will be interesting to see how Jett Lawrence and Justin Barcia bounce back after their St. Louis collison.
- Cooper Webb narrowed Jett’s points lead to eight points, can he close the gap even more, or does Jett extend?
- Only five rounds remain!
- Only five rounds remain in the career of Adam Cianciarulo as well. Insert crying emoji here.
- Eli Tomac went beast mode and won his first race of the season in St. Louis.
- Chase Sexton isn’t out of this thing yet. He’s only 20 points away from the red plate and was farther back last year in the standings and still won.
- Malcolm Stewart tied his season best 7th in St. Louis.
- Freddie Noren hurt his foot and will miss Foxborough. Get well soon Freddie!
- Sugar Stache Shane McElrath is coming off a tenth in St. Louis and he sits 13th in the standings.
- Where is Dylan Ferrandis???
- Jeremy Martin will be sitting out the rest of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship, but the press release didn’t say when he would be back.
- Pierce Brown sits third in the 250SX East Region standings despite not having a podium finish.
- Only 19-points separate the top five in 250SX East Region points with four rounds remaining.
- Can Haiden Deegan make up a 16-point deficit?
- Tom Vialle or Cameron McAdoo are separated by two points for the red plate. Who is your pick for the championship?
- Star Racing’s Nick Romano is coming off a career best 6th at the Indianapolis SX.
The good news is that as the Monster Energy Supercross Championship enters the final stretch, we still have plenty of great storylines to follow. We’ve got three heated championship battles coming down to the final round! Foxborough should be full of surprises.
