I can’t believe it’s been 13 years since the inaugural Vurbmoto Edit Contest. Remember that one with RJ Hampshire and Jordon Smith absolutely demolishing WW Ranch for our shooting and your editing delight? Ah, yes, great times.
We followed that one up with the War Machines edit contest, which was also quite fun, and to this day I still remember multiple edits that truly stood out from those competitions. What’s cooler, many of the top finishing names are ones I come across, to this day, working throughout the industry in various multimedia roles. Suffice to say, this edit contest isn’t something that was conceived for the gift of a prize, but rather the gift of being noticed. In a world where content is king, it’s the chance to standout to many people across many industries that are looking to fill roles that are right in line with the premise we have going here.
Welcome to the 2024 resurgence of the Vurbmoto Edit Contest thanks to our great friends at Yamaha.
Our entire team trekked down to the Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha Facility during their team intro photoshoot and, from a shooting perspective, treated this just like we would any project. We captured an insane amount of footage through various means and now have uploaded the selects – which basically means the good good from the shoot – and now it’s time for you to download these files and show us how creative you are behind the computer screen. In 2013, we might’ve been lucky to upload an hour’s worth of footage in total. Now, some of the rider selects are an hour alone. Have fun, my friends!
We have two different categories to enter – which are much more detailed on the Vurbmoto Edit Contest Presented by Yamaha page – which include storytelling and bangers. You can enter one or both and must have a social teaser to accompany the full piece as well. Again, check out the actual page for all the rules.
