Anderson and Lawrence Receive Fines for Altercation in San Diego

Usually the penalty report features something that isn’t too crazy. A slap on the wrist here and there is usually all it is.

Yet, this week we were eagerly awaiting the release following the altercation after the race between Jett Lawrence and Jason Anderson. The two were feeling spicy after battling hard for fourth in the main event.

Slaw detailed a little bit about the situation after the race.

We had five riders get penalties this weekend and six infractions total. Colby Copp lost his fastest lap time for jumping on the red cross flag. Nate Thrasher gained an advantage off of the track in his heat race and lost two positions. The T-Dog Squad’s own Hunter Yoder cut the track in his heat and lost two postions. Anderson gained an advantage in his heat and was docked one position.

The meat and potatoes of this report is that Anderson and Lawrence only received a fine for their actions after the race. Who knows if Anderson would even entertain Lawrence paying his fine for him. We don’t even know the amount of money they were fined yet. We’ll see how this plays out. Maybe they will be able to look past this and exchange Christmas cards this year?
