Red Bull Imagination Preview: This is DOPE

Red Bull’s announcement video for Tyler Bereman and Jason Baker’s Imagination project is super badass, but I’m here to hype this event to the fullest extent. Luckily, we’ve been tasked with documenting the whole journey, and all I can say is the motocross world is about to be mind blown. We all know what Jason Baker is capable of with some machinery and the dirt digging brain of his, but couple it with more John Deere equipment than I’ve ever seen in my life and TB’s list of epic features, and you can only imagine what they’ve been concocting the last three weeks on a gently sloping hillside in Kansas. (And to be honest, they’ve been adding up ideas for at least two years now.)

Dirtbikes will take center stage on FOX (Yes, like FOX… Channel 4) sometime in November, and feature TB and an epic list of talent he’s bringing out to compete. What is this competition you ask? Take some sprinkles of Snowboard Slopestyle, toss in some Rampage, add a bit Speed and Style, and icing it up with an event like Crankworx, but with two wheels and motors, and you’re looking at the shell of what Red Bull Imagination is all about.

While we can’t show you any photos quite yet (outside of TB’s above post), just daydream the most epic freeride course with massive jumps, quarter pipes, shark fins, and BMX jumps on steroids, all on a motocross style layout. I reckon the lap times will be about 3 minutes, give or take, with a Bubba Scrubs replaced with the most beautiful whips and style you can fathom.

All of this wickedness starts happening next week, and your vurbmoto brethren will be hard at work behind the computers and cameras to bring you the content, which will begin airing October 14 on the Red Bull Motorsports Youtube Channel.

We’ll 100% be posting the content up here as well, and let us warn ya: you better bring your gnarly boots, cuz it’s about to get extreme.

Been 'round these parts making dirtbike movies since '02; a weathered veteran with moto and camera related back issues, the hearing equivalent to my great-great grandfather's, and a dirt tan that will literally never come off. But I'm still in way better shape than every other dog in this joint, but that's because I use Chili and no slaw.
