Welcome to the 2023 Vurb Classic, the greatest race in the history of the universe. The track is in amazing condition following rain earlier in the week and we were greeted with amazing weather for the first race day.
We will be bringing you live updates on some notable classes throughout the day, so make sure to bookmark this page.
All results are unofficial.
30+ Moto 1
The 30+ class kicked off the racing today and it was all Chad Wages. Our Hired Gun for the event showed out as he lead over lap to take the opening moto win.
85cc 9-13 Moto 1
This was an absolute barn burner between our Hired Gun Chase Dashiell and Tace Morgan. Morgan took the holeshot but had Dahsiell all over him. The lead never got more than a second or two and on the final lap Dashiell put in a hard push to take the lead but he crashed on the final lap and dropped way back.
Cool story of the day: Chad Reed’s son Tate and Josh Grant’s son Wyatt battled all moto and were nearly dead even at the finish.
250 B Moto 1
This was another great battle between KTM’s Luke Fauser and Husky’s Landon Gibson. Fauser took the early lead but Gordon was all over him. Like the 85cc class, Fauser was never able to pull away as Gordon stayed tight all moto. In the end, Fauser withstood the challenge to take the moto one win.
250 C Moto 1
This was wild one. Ben Thompson grabbed the early lead while Hired Gun Elijah Marsh was buried around fourth. As Marsh was coming through the pack, Thompson went down and Marsh ran away with the win.
450 Pro
Kyle Bitterman is on a role today. After winning 250 A earlier in the day, he took the early lead in this one over Cody Groves and Trevor Nelson. Groves tried to chase down Bitterman put said he got arm pump and lost traction late in the race. Bitterman took the win over Groves and Nelson.
450 B
This Luke Fauser and Landon Gibson battle is going to be insane. These two were tied at the hip all moto once again. Gibson tried everything to get around Fauser but the KTM rider was too strong and took another win.
250 B Moto 2
The Luke Fauser, Landon Gibson battled continued in 250 B. Once again it was Fauser who grabbed the holeshot with Gibson on his tail. Gibson pressured him all moto but it was Fauser getting the better of him and taking the title.
65cc 10-11 Moto 2
Easton Graves was the man to beat in the 65cc 10-11. There was no touching Graves as he opened a huge gap and ran away with the moto win and the championship.
