FIM Announces It Is Seeking a Promoter for World Supercross Championship

Whoa, whoa, whoa!

Slaw has been out cranking away in Kansas for Red Bull Imagination 2.0, so we are a little late on this news, but whatever.

Anyway, the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) announced it is currently seeking a promoter to sign a 10-year agreement for the rights to an FIM World Supercross Championship.

You can read the full release here.

Back in June, Feld Entertainment, the promotional body of Monster Energy Supercross, announced it had ended its agreement with the FIM. The FIM has been involved with AMA Supercross for nearly two decades and sanctioned Monster Energy AMA Supercross, and FIM World Championship for a majority of that time.

Feld decided it would continue forward with the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) as their official sanctioning body of Monster Energy Supercross for 2022 onwards.

What does this all mean? I don’t know, but it looks like the FIM is making some moves.
