Love him or hate him, Vince Friese has re-signed with MotoConcepts once again to race the FIM World Supercross Championship.
He will join the already committed Eli Tomac and Ken Roczen and crew in the WSX class.
WSX put out the announcement on their Instagram this morning.
Vince Friese will contest his third FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) season in 2024, with the American racer competing as part of the MotoConcepts Racing line-up once again.
Since joining the series for its inaugural season in 2022, Friese has earned a reputation as a fierce competitor who will do whatever it takes to win.
In 2023, Friese’s fast yet aggressive riding style put him in World Championship contention alongside Ken Roczen, Joey Savatgy, and Dean Wilson, with the Missourian eventually finishing fourth in points with two overall podiums at the WSX British and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix.
One year earlier, Friese finished third in the WSX standings, tied on points with runner-up, Savatgy, and as such, has forged his reputation as a true powerhouse rider of the championship.
After coming close on countless occasions, Friese will be looking to add a maiden WSX victory to his list of already extensive achievements in 2024, with the aim of once again competing for World Championship glory.
Vince Friese, Rider, MotoConcepts Racing, said: “I’m excited to be back in WSX for another season with MotoConcepts Racing. Year-on-year, the competition has only become tougher, but each season, I think we’ve also become more and more competitive. For me personally, I’m more determined than I ever have been, and I’m ready to give this coming season absolutely everything I’ve got.”
Friese will start his season with MotoConcepts Racing on 26 October at BC Place in Vancouver for the WSX Canadian GP. The campaign will then continue with the WSX Australian GP on 23-24 November at HBF Park, before concluding with the WSX Abu Dhabi GP at Etihad Arena on 4 December.
Mike Genova, Team Principal, MotoConcepts Racing, added: “You know the reason that MCR has stuck by Vince’s side for so long is we know what we’re gonna get with Vince, a committed guy who continues to improve as a racer, that will fight hard for his position and not care who he has to go toe to toe with. That gate drops and it’s war.”
Friese has raced the WSX Championship since its inception and isn’t afraid to cause a little drama along the way. Should we bring up Abu Dhabi again?
The last time we saw Friese race was during this season’s Monster Energy Supercross Championship where he finished 19th in the 450SX standings with his best result being a 10th in Nashville.
The first round of the three race series will be held October 26th in Vancouver, Canada.

I wish they’d stop supporting this clown. He may have talent on a dirtbike, but his poor decision making is astounding
