Daxton Bennick Out for “First Couple” Rounds of Pro Motocross

Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing’s Daxton Bennick announced via social media on Tuesday that he will miss the “first couple” rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

Bennick had a hard crash in the 250SX East Division main event at the Philadelphia round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross in April and sustained a compression fracture in his back and a concussion.

“Wanted to give you guys a update I won’t be racing the first couple rounds of outdoors to make sure I make a full recovery before racing again I have been doing everything I can right now to heal up I’m excited to get back to @starracingyamaha and start training again soon thank you to everyone in my corner.”

The second year pro missed time earlier this year when he sustained a concussion in practice crash prior to round 2 of the 250SX East Division in Detroit.

The AMA Pro Motocross Championship starts this Saturday at Fox Raceway in Pala, California.
