Cole Thompson Out For Remainder of Monster Energy Supercross

Cole Thompson’s return to Monster Energy AMA Supercross has been cut short due to a shoulder injury sustained at round 5 in Glendale on Saturday.

The Canadian announced on Instagram that he sustained a torn labrum in his left shoulder after getting landed on in the second race of the Triple Crown on Saturday.

“Extremely sad to say I’ll be done racing SX for the season. MRI results show a torn labrum in my left shoulder. Frustrating end to my season when apparently someone finds it necessary to jump a 70ft triple onto me for a 12th place position 🙄 Anyways I’ll keep updates coming with my recovery process & look forward to whatever the futures hold for me. I’m also incredibly grateful for all the support I’ve received these past few weeks of racing. Thank you everyone who likes, comments, messages or just follows my journey 🙏”

Thompson, who returned to Supercross for the first time since 2017, had one top 10 through five rounds of the 250SX West Region.
