ClubMX Continues to Produce Amazing PR’s and Their Latest is a Must Read

Slaw, like most here at Vurb, doesn’t take things in this sport too seriously. As Daniel Blair said on the recent Squad Pod with Troy Dog (I will get to that piece of garbage another time. Troy, NOT Daniel that is) we are the bestest, brightest, funniest media team he has ever worked with. Ok, he didn’t quite say that, but it was close.

This sport needs to take its stick out of its ass from time to time and we here at Vurb try to assist in the removing of said stick. We are racing dirtbikes, not curing cancer. Let’s all relax, okay?

Mike B at ClubMX should write PR’s for Vurb. He’s at master at his craft. A true wordsmith. He likes to poke fun, he actually tells us what’s going on, and his pre and post-race reports should be the Bible for industry PR folks.

His latest for the upcoming Ironman National is another gem.

You see, Devin Simonson was a recent addition to the team for Budds Creek after the team and Garrett Marchbanks parted ways. Pulp Hockey recently had a good rant about Simonson getting a chance on the team that is worth a listen.

Devin did get his chance this past weekend, but it didn’t go all that well. He failed to qualify for the races, but he did get an alternate spot in the second moto and finished 28th. Not a bad performance for his first race of the season.

Mike B being Mike B wrote a funny release to announce that Devin will also join the team at Ironman.

DEVIN SIMONSON #91: So apparently the track was bit muddy for qualifying at Budds Creek and Devin did not advance straight into the race. He lined up for the LCQ and could have advanced in the top four but tipped over three times relegating him back to sixth place. That is when I deleted his name out of my phone. Later in the day, he was able to line up for moto two as an alternate and actually finished twenty-eighth – not bad. When he called on Monday to ask for help getting registered for Ironman – I did not know who it was. (He was offended that I deleted him). Somehow, he managed to convince Brandon for another chance to race at ironman and he agreed. (Insert head slap emoji here). I spent a fair amount of my time on Tuesday and Wednesday “motivating” him on the training track to do better this weekend. We will find out Saturday if my “methods” were effective. Devin is a good kid and like Tom Brady running on the field when Drew Bledsoe hit the deck in 2001 – it is time to show what you have!!!

Before you start to comment about how a PR should not be written this way, stop, remove said stick from your ass and continue about your day.
