Buckle Up, Vurb is Headed to Millcreek

I went to bed on an empty stomach. The crackling sound of a loud speaker woke me up. “All 85cc Supermini riders to the line for first moto. All 125 Schoolboy riders to staging.” I sprang up in a panic, stepped over two unfamiliar faces sleeping on the floor of the motorhome and hit the ground running. Oh, shit, my camera lens was fogged up from the humidity, there was no way I was going to catch the morning light.

Snap!

It was all a dream. Like oversleeping for a math test I almost had a cold sweat dripping down my forehead. With the 2020 Monster Energy Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s (damn, that’s a mouthful) kicking off in August, we’re a bit out of practice. Yes, camera dudes need practice too. So, we’re dusting off the cobwebs and hitting our own version of a Regional Qualifier at one of our all-time favorite tracks, MillCreek in Pell City, Alabama, for the Spring, errr, Summer Classic July 17-19th.

Like old times, we’ll be ripping cold beers after motos, slinging t-shirts like candy and seeing if we remember how to cover some of the fastest young talent the southeast has to offer. Consider it a welcome home party at one of the sickest and best prepped tracks in the region, and a solid place to test your speed against some of the nation’s top talent before heading to The Ranch.

DM us if you plan on coming and we’ll be sure to have you a cold Natty Light and some Vurb stickers waiting.
