Zach Osborne Dealing with Bulging Disc

After collecting his first podium of the season at Orlando 1, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Zach Osborne was only able to manage an eighth place finish at Orlando 2.

On Instagram today, Osborne explained he is dealing with a bulging disc in his lumbar spine. He hopes to be ready for Daytona next Saturday, though.

“Last Tuesday prior to Orlando 2 I got a weird sensation in my back after a big seat bounce, I tried to ride Wednesday a little and Thursday a little with no real improvement. I went into the weekend knowing it would be a slight struggle but it was a little more than I anticipated. After some exams this week I found out I have a bulging disc in my lumbar spine. I’ve done a lot of therapy this week and it’s coming back into a comfortable range so I’m hoping to be a little closer to normal by Daytona. Look forward to being back at 100% and getting back to having some fun at the races.”

Through eight rounds of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Championship, Osborne is seventh in points, two behind sixth place Malcolm Stewart.

  1. Damn. Speaking from experience, that started a year ago, this sucks and it’s freakin hard to shake. Given Zach is superhuman and I’m just a computer geek, here’s to hoping his recovery is much better than mine.
