Welcome to our coverage of the 14th annual James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship. This event took over after Lake Whitney went away in 2011 as a must race for the next big things in motocross. The classes are stacked and today we picked four BIG classes to tell you guys which riders you need to watch for this week.

Today kicked off with practice and tomorrow the racing starts. You can listen all week to the live webcast here.

250B

This class is stacked, I mean STACKED. This class will be insane and possibly going to be the best race of the weekend. There are about ten guys who could win this thing! I don’t see anyone walking away with the win, so consistency is going to be key to this championship.

#206- Logan Best

#40 – Caden Dudney

#462 – Luke Fauser

Open Pro Sport

Everyone knows this is the premiere class to watch for amateur motocross. These guys are our future pros and this is always a standout class.

#700 – Jadon Cooper

#45 – Hayes Edwards

#800 – Preston Masciangelo

65 (7-11)

Remember all those badass kids hitting the supercross triple at last year’s SMX race in NC? Well, you’ll need to tune into this class to watch those guys hit the outdoor track. These rippers are gonna put on a show and any of these kids could walk away a champion.

#5 – Kannon Zabojnik

#3 – Beckham Smith

#42 – Jaydin Smart

#698 – Carter Gray

#16 – Tate Brush

#99 – Jax Baker

125 12-17 / All Star

One of my favorite classes. Is there anything better than a souped up two stroke just absolutely unleashing a course? No there’s not, so don’t even argue with us. Just sit back and enjoy the sweet sweet sound. Oh and there are some fast kids in this class!

#218 – Trinnytie Batchelor

#404 – Riley Busse

#24 – Owen Covell

#930 – Seth Dennis

#910 – Oliver Kamp

#22 – Jonathan Getz
