Who Is Turning Pro After Loretta’s at Loretta’s?

The 2020 Monster Energy AMA Amateur Motocross National wrapped up on Saturday at Loretta Lynn Ranch and the 2020 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross begins Saturday at Loretta Lynn Ranch. Yeah, that’s quite a mouthful for an opening paragraph.

This is the first time ever that the Pro Motocross series will visit the famed facility which has hosted the Amateur National since 1982. Why? Because, well, COVID. The pandemic has thrown the series out of whack for this year, and well, Loretta’s could host a race and they decided to go there. Easy enough.

Who will be making their pro debuts this weekend after just racing at the facility for the last week? We got three names for you.

Stilez Robertson

Brand: Husqvarna
Number: 117
Loretta Results:
1st | Open Pro Sport
1st | 250 Pro Sport

The Bakersfield, California, native, won the Open Pro Sport and 250 Pro Sport titles and earned the coveted Nicky Hayden AMA Horizon Award, given to the A class rider who shows the most promise as they prepare to enter the professional ranks. He was strong all week, winning 4-of-6 motos and will make his debut this weekend with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team. The long-time Team Green Kawasaki rider signed an amateur-to-pro deal with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna, which goes through the 2021 season.

Mason Gonzales

Number: 239
Loretta Results:
2nd | Open Pro Sport
3rd | 250 Pro Sport

Gonzales’ starts were on fire at the Ranch and he pushed Robertson in both classes, winning one moto and finishing runner-up in three others.

Dilan Schwartz

Brand: Suzuki
Number: 374
Loretta Results:
3rd | Open Pro Sport
2nd | 250 Pro Sport

Schwartz showed serious speed last week, but was hampered by starts and mistakes. He won the first 250 Pro Sport moto, but went 5-2 in the next to finish second overall.

Schwartz will be under the Suzuki amateur team, BarX/Chaparral/Fly/Suzuki Factory Racing.

“I’ve been wanting to race professional since I was a little kid and have been working toward that goal nonstop,” said Schwartz in a recent Suzuki press release. “To get the news that I get to race a few outdoors – I was pumped! I just finished up the Loretta’s Amateur National with two overall podium finishes. The team and I have been working incredibly hard this past year and I’m excited to see what we can do!”
