Vurb Shred Tour 2022: Hot Dog, Hot Diggity Dog | Dates Announced

Yo Grizzies! It’s been a minute. I do apologize for the silence, but Bird Dog and I have been hard at work over here trying to fill up our Ketchup bottles for 2022. We pretty much had to make our own, from scratch, by watching YouTube tutorials from a guy named Leopard. The good news is? We figured out the perfect concoction of tomato paste, high fructose corn syrup, salt and other things to make sure our hotdog offerings were going to be even bigger and better than last year. The bad news? We still haven’t convinced Oscar Meyer to donate 20,000 delicious pure beef sticks to our cause next year. So yeah, buy a t-shirt when we rollout our new offerings in March, would ya?

Anyway, last year we started the vurbmoto Dirtbikes are Dope Shred Tour (which is way too much to write, so we’re just running Vurb Shred Tour this year, okay?) which, at its core, was a way for us to come and have an amazingly fun time at tracks close to you, give away thousands of dollars in prizes, cook hotdogs, watch supercross, have bonfires, and shred some of the best dirt we could find in the region. And it was fun! So much fun we’re doing it again, adding even more stops, and dressing the format up in a nice new Gucci suit to make sure the drip is on point.

Our First Stop Takes Us to the Beautiful Moto40 Facility in Statesville, NC. Feb 11-13 for this one!

For 2022, the fun stays the same, but we’re going to change the way the weekend lays out. Friday, for select events, we’ve invited the USMCA to town where they’ll be bringing their super awesome trainers in the local areas (Hey, Emig, you cruising to the CA round?). In the coming few days, we’ll have some more information on where and how to sign up for these.

Saturday will remain largely the same; just tons of fun. We will spend the day shredding, hosting a massive raffle, having a Stacyc race with a Stacyc bike giveaway, along with pitbike racing, movie nights, horseshoes, slip-n-slides, bands, and whatever else we can dream up. Just know to bring your gnarly boots, because it’s going to get extreme.

Sunday will be the biggest change, as we’re going to drop some gates or set off a rubber band: one or the other, maybe even both. We’re calling this the Vurb Outlaw Series, and it’ll be the most National Local series you’ve ever been a part of. Fast competition, epic exposure, pictures for everyone… you know the gig… you know what we do… and that’s how we’re gonna do it. On top of some racing, we’re still going to host a second raffle day as well, where we pretty much give away the rest of our life savings. Totally worth it, though.

So one thing to discuss! We still have a Yamaha TTR-110 to giveaway from the 2021 Shred Tour. We plan on hosting this live on the IG at the first round. If you came to any of the stops last year and filled out of our cards, your name will be in the hat. Literally, we’re going to put thousands of names in a hat. Unless Slaw comes up with a better idea. And then we’re going to up the ante for 2022. Our title sponsor, Mad Skills Motocross 3, is going to throw a brand new YZ125 in the ring. Goodbye pitter and hellllllo full on shred machine. There’s more to reveal, but I’ll leave it there for now.

Without further adieu, here’s the schedule, or most of it anyways. Where will the mystery rounds find us? Well, Sharon, it’s a mystery. But the cool thing is, you all are going to help us decide. We’ve got the regions picked out, but you’ll be helping us decide the track when the time comes. See you all in a few weeks in North Carolina and then the following weekend in California!

Been 'round these parts making dirtbike movies since '02; a weathered veteran with moto and camera related back issues, the hearing equivalent to my great-great grandfather's, and a dirt tan that will literally never come off. But I'm still in way better shape than every other dog in this joint, but that's because I use Chili and no slaw.
