Vincent Wey Injury Update

Team Green Kawasaki’s Vincent Wey will miss the SMX Next – Motocross Scouting Moto Combine at RedBud today and the upcoming round of the Canadian Triple Crown Series at Gopher Dunes due to an injury sustained at the last round of the Canadian Series.

Wey made the announcement on his personal social media on Thursday, but did not provide further details on the injury he sustained.

“Unfortunately, I had an awkward crash on the first lap of Moto 2 last Sunday in Ste Julie, Quebec. At first, I wasn’t sure how serious it was, but after getting X-rays and scans this week, I’ve learned I’ll need to take some time to heal,” he wrote. “I’m really bummed to miss Red Bud and Gopher Dunes this weekend, but my focus right now is recovering the right way. I’ll play it by ear and return to racing as soon as I’m healthy enough. Thank you to everyone who’s reached out and supported me. I’ll be back soon.”

Wey, who has been racing this summer in the Canadian Triple Crown Series, recently made his first appearance in the pro ranks at High Point, where he went 22-18 for 21st overall.
