Slawdictions for High Point: Summer of Lawrences Continues

NONE of this would be possible without the folks at FLY Racing, who have stepped in to support Slaw and #slawnation couldn’t be happier. Visit www.flyracing.com and support those who support Slaw.

Following a nearly 98 percent pick rate over Monster Energy AMA Supercross, I’m here to bring you the most flame, fire, fuego, feu, predictions for the ENTIRE Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.

Hot takes, bold predictions, you name it, Slaw’s got it.

As always, we will first review my picks from Thunder Valley….

Prediction | Tomac at Home

After a quiet fourth at the opening round, Eli was back doing Eli stuff, holding off Chase Sexton in the second moto to grab his first moto win of the season. We head to Thunder Valley, his home track and yeah, I got Eli all day. LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK.

Thanks, Chase! I kid. I kid. But yeah, this WAS TOMAC’S OVERALL until the final lap.

Slawdiction: 5 out of 10

Prediction | Kitchen Gets a Start and Snags a Top Five Overall

If you just looked at the results, you wouldn’t think Levi Kitchen has been super good through two rounds. But he has. He just can’t get a damn start. Pretty sure he’s starting like 35th every moto (don’t quote me on that). The Star rocket ships at elevation this week change all that. Kitchen grabs a start in at least one moto and snags a top five overall or better.

I mean, this might be my GREATEST PREDICTION EVER!!!!!!

Slawdiction: 1 million out of 10.

Prediction | People Get Mad at the TV Coverage

LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK NUMBER 2.

Yeah…..

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction | Jett Wins Again

Bold, I know!

Jett doesn’t even need to win motos to win the overall. So impressive.

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

Prediction | Cairoli Gets Another Holeshot and Throws a Fatty Whip

Okay, this probably won’t happen, but for the love of everything awesome, please let it.

MY GOD! Not only did AC grab ONE holeshot, but TWO!!!!!

Slawdiction: 10 out of 10.

On to High Point, the Crown Jewel of the series….

The Lawrence’s Continue Hot Start

Get those ear plugs out, doggies! Tried of hearing about these two? Yeah, better get used to it. They continue to share the podium AGAIN this weekend. LEAD SLAW LOCK OF THE WEEK!

Roczen Wins Overall

Kenny was gifted the overall last weekend when Sexton went down, but let us not dismiss how he won: he held off a furious charge from Eli Tomac at his home race! If Tomac passes Ken, he wins the overall. Guess what: he didn’t. Ken is so good on the first laps and I think that continues this weekend and he takes his second straight overall.

McElrath Scores Another Top Five

Quick trivia: Who got fifth in the second moto last weekend? If you guessed Ryan Dungey… you would be wrong. It was Shane McElrath! Yep, I kind of forgot too, but Shane is taking full advantage of his factory fill-in ride for the summer. I think that continues this weekend with a second straight top five moto score.

Cairoli Goes Out with a Bang

It looks like High Point will mark the end of Tony Cairoli’s run in America. That sucks. It was awesome seeing the nine-time world champ over here. Hopefully something works out and AC can stay, but if not…. HE’S GOING OUT WITH A BANG THIS WEEKEND. AT LEAST A MOTO PODIUM! STAMP IT.

Star Holeshot

Star Racing gets at least one holeshot in the 250 Class. Damn, rocket ships!
