Sexton Issues Statement On Former Mechanic Brandon Zimmerman

A lot of the talk this past weekend in Philadelphia centered around how Chase Sexton’s mechanic Brandon Zimmerman had parted ways with Red Bull KTM. Zimmerman had worked with with Sexton for the past two years and Sexton brought him over from HRC Honda to KTM as they made the transition this year.

Some of the rumors had speculated that Zimmerman had been let go due to Sexton’s throttle sticking in Nashville, which resulted in Sexton taking a nasty spill. To have that happen is one thing, but then one week later Zimmerman wasn’t at the races, so it looked a little strange.

Sexton put out a post on Instagram tonight to explain his side of this story.

According to Sexton, the rumors were just rumors, and that had nothing to do with Zimmerman and Red Bull KTM parting ways.

Unfortunately, Zimmerman doesn’t post on his Instagram too often, but we will keep our eyes open if he makes a statement. Zimmerman has a very big resume in this sport as a mechanic for Pro Circuit, Adam Cianciarulo, and most recently Sexton.
