Ryan Dungey Retiring Again, Won’t Race in 2023

Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey has decided to call it a career for the second time.

Dungey, who made the shock return to Lucas Oil Pro Motocross this summer with KTM after initially retiring in 2017, has decided this summer was all he needed.

In an interview with Vital MX, Dungey said the Pro Motocross finale at Fox Raceway would be his last.

“For sure got rid of the itch,” he said. “I wanted the challenge of doing this summer and that was good. I’m not going to keep racing after this. This was the last one.”

Despite having not raced Pro Motocross since 2016, Dungey proved he is still one of the best in the world. He finished the season sixth in 450 points and was dang close to an overall podium a number of times.

I was hoping Dungey would return in 2023, but he isn’t. Thanks for the memories again, Ryan!
