Well, well, it appears Justin Barcia will remain the 450 points leader in Monster Energy Supercross after Ken Roczen was docked points, but not a position, for “we think” jumping on a Red Cross flag.
After the race, it was announced that the final results have currently “not been certified due to pending appeals with the AMA and FIM regarding flag rule infractions.”
This morning, the AMA posted the final results, which remain the same, but the points have been updated with Barcia holding a one point advantage over Dylan Ferrandis. Roczen has moved from first to fifth after the “suspected” penalty.
It appears Roczen and Anderson were both docked four points.
A fan captured video of the”supposed” incident. We’ll update once the AMA releases a statement.

That flagger wasn’t doing that great of a job with the flag. It’s like he couldn’t decide if he wanted to wave it or not.
Was Anderson not docked 4 pts (looks like he had 11 pts after the penalty instead of the full 15 pts for 8th place)?
@Chad B: Yep, I can’t count. Both docked four points.
Tomac should be docked points because he jumped too. The medic flag was clearly out and visible.
Tomac did not jump on the Red Cross flag. The flagger had it in his hand but did not have it displayed
