Morning Espresso: Mini O’s Wrap Up

If case you doggies didn’t notice, WE have a sponsor for this post now. That’s right, MotoSport.com has jumped onboard for this weekly masterpiece. Kickstart your holiday shopping season and save up to 70%!

Holy smokes we made it! Mini O’s hit different this year that’s for sure. This should have been up sooner but much like the second moto results, some things are just worth the wait, I guess.

Tiger Wood is Real… Really Damn Fast

Mini O’s was the first national for Tiger Wood on the Supermini and he didn’t skip a beat jumping into the class and winning just about everything he could. Wood brought home six total titles from the week including a Supermini title in both MX and SX. All of the races he did win came very contested, and the ones he didn’t win he was contesting for. This was a week he will remember for some time.

Linville Capitalizes

Gage Linville made the most of the opportunities at hand and ripped off a grip of titles last week, six in total including 250 B and 450 B in MX. It will be interesting to see if anyone picks him up as he was one of the only non-factory supported to win in the B classes.

Don’t Sleep On These Rippas

Where to begin with this list? There were a ton of head turners who may not of captured titles but certainly made their mark. Here are just a few to keep an eye on going into Spring Nationals:

  • Jude Smerlick: Supermini 1 and 2
  • Will Canaguier: Supermini 1 and 2
  • Noah Stevens: 125, Schoolboy and B Limited Classes
  • Nate Mason: B Classes
  • Timothy Scott: 65s
  • Thor Powell: Mini Sr
  • Brody Barth: 85s and Mini Sr

Yes, there is a whole slew of folks who also turned heads during the week as well, but I can’t name them all. Check the results sheets, you will recognize the standouts.

Cody MF’in Groves! The Peoples Champ!

If you don’t know now you know. His total NFG full send style and personality have made us all a fan of the dude from Maryland. Groves would go on to not only win a Collegeboy title but then backed it up with a third OA in 450 Pro Sport ahead of some very fast dudes. Cody, thank you for bringing the energy all week.

Romano Is Next Level

The kid from New York put on a show all week and brought home the hardware to prove it—only dropping one title all week. While Romano’s move to the A classes was anticipated we didn’t quite know where he would fit in. It didn’t take long to see that Romano was going to put in some serious results and that he did. Five titles in total! It will be cool to see how everyone responds come Spring National time.

Other Notables

Let’s rip through some other winners from the week that was. Canyon Richards, Casey Cochran, Jonathan Getz, Jackson Vick, Landen Walters, Krystian Janik, Tyler Mollet, Ignacia Riveros, Beckham Smith, Jaydin Smart, Seth Dennis, Deacon Denno, Brennon Harrison, Kade Johnson, Axel Ward and Anderson Waldele captured at least one title through the week and a stack of podium metals along the way. Congrats to all of the winners from the last week.

Written by Jeff Simpson

We met Jeff sleeping in a tent down the street from Loretta Lynn's... with his computer. At that point, we knew he would fit in with us. Then, he then drank all the white claw flavors none of us liked, and that's when we knew it was meant to be. Jeff officially became part of the crew.
We're terrible at asking questions, so we're not exactly sure what Jeff does for a living, but he loves petting his cats and dog, growing his beard, and living in a cornfield in Michigan. Jeff also likes to wear cycling glasses while driving his car and using his cameras. We like Jeff.
