Max Vohland Injury Update

Red Bull KTM rookie Max Vohland will miss some time after suffering a dislocated hip in qualifying at round 4 of Monster Energy Supercross in Indianapolis on Saturday after he had a heavy crash in the whoops. The 17-year-old was attended to by the Alpinestars Medical Team and the session was red flagged for some time before resuming as Vohland was carted off the track.

Vohland had a strong start to his rookie campaign, going 9-8-6 at the first three rounds in Houston. He was sixth in points in the 250SX East Region heading into Indianapolis.

In a statement, KTM said X-rays showed no bone damage and doctors were able to perform a “closed reduction” to put his hip back in place, allowing him to be released from hospital on Saturday evening.

No timetable on a return has been announced.
