Mason Gonzales Injured in Practice Crash

Mason Gonzales, who has been riding for the Phoenix Honda squad in preparations for his rookie season in Monster Energy Supercross, announced on Instagram he suffered a broken tib/fib and talus in his ankle in a recent practice crash.

Gonzales rode for the Rock River Yamaha team in his final year as an amateur and finished second and third in Open Pro Sport and 250 Pro Sport at Loretta Lynn’s.

After finishing his amateur career, Gonzales turned pro with the team and was impressive in his rookie season in Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, finishing 16th in the 250 Class. 

At this time, it’s unknown how long he’ll miss.
