Injury News + Viewing Guide for Birmingham Supercross

Following the only off-weekend in the 17-round schedule, Monster Energy AMA Supercross returns for a massive showcase in Birmingham, AL this Saturday.

Not only is it the first East/West Showdown of 2026, it will also serve as round 4 of the SMX Next Championship.

450SX Injury News

Dylan Ferrandis – Is out for this weekend as he continues to recover from a sprained thumb sustained at Daytona.

Austin Forkner – Was hoping to return for this weekend but is still recovering from a hand injury and will miss another round.

Joey Savatgy – Is out after breaking a medial cuneiform in his foot in Indianapolis.

Chase Sexton – Hasn’t raced since crashing before Daytona due to pain in his lower back and hip. Kawasaki announced on Thursday that Sexton has returned to riding but will miss this weekend.

Also out: Jason Anderson, Justin Barcia, Benny Bloss, Josh Cartwright, Cade Clason, RJ Hampshire, Logan Karnow, Jett Lawrence, Max Miller, Mitchell Oldenburg

250SX East Injury News

Drew Adams – Suffered a broken thumb at Daytona and has undergone surgery. Nick Romano will fill-in at Pro Circuit Kawasaki starting this weekend.

Ty Masterpool – Suffered a tear in his labrum ahead of Arlington Supercross. While sidelined for that injury, Masterpool underwent surgery to fix both his ankles. He is out for the remainder of Supercross.

Leum Oehlhof – Suffered a broken femur in a training crash during the off-weekend. He is out for the rest of Supercross.

Gavin Towers – Is out with a shoulder injury sustained in Indianapolis.

Also out: Casey Cochran, Gage Linville, Bryce Shelley 

250SX West Injury News

Cameron McAdoo – Sustained a shoulder injury in Seattle SX back in Feb and despite racing the main event he later learned he sustained a fracture to his humerus.

Michael Mosiman – Is out for the remainder of Supercross after dislocating his elbow and breaking his radius, fingers, and multiple bones in his hand while preparing for Birmingham.
