Eli Tomac On Dissapointing Finish at Indianapolis Supercross

Tough day at the office for Eli Tomac in Indianapolis. The defending champion finished a season-low eighth and never looked comfortable all day.

Despite five wins in nine rounds, Tomac lost the points lead for the first time in 2023, as Cooper Webb finished third and holds a slim one point lead over Tomac.

In a Yamaha press release, Tomac offered the following:

“It was a tough one today. The track was pretty gnarly, and we just struggled to find our comfort zone all day. We did our best to salvage some points. We’ll put this one behind us and come back next weekend in Detroit.”

Everyone freaked out when Tomac finished fifth in Tampa. Then what did he do? Won the very next weekend in Oakland. Bad night? Sure, but I ain’t looking too far into this.
