Eli Tomac Injury Update: “I Think There’s More Racing in My Future”

There hasn’t been much of an update on Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing’s Eli Tomac since he suffered a ruptured Achilles at round 16 of Monster Energy Supercross in Denver.

Tomac was leading the race and well on his way to a third AMA 450 Supercross title when he made a slight mistake and sustained the horrible injury.

Well, last week Tomac blew up moto Twitter when he posted a pic of him rehabbing. Since that time, I’ve been trying to figure out if Tomac is indeed a robot or not. I’ll let y’all know once I do.

Anyway, Tomac was out at the Alpinestars gear launch Sunday at Washougal and hot damn he made it seem like he’s coming back in 2024. I personally hope so, no way he should go out like that.

“Update on myself is I’ve just been working on physical therapy getting this Achilles back to what I think is going to be 100%. So far, it’s going really well. I’d say I’m a few weeks ahead of protocols. So for me, it’s been a great recovery. I think there’s more racing in my future.”
