Eli Tomac Okay Following Big Crash at Anaheim 2

Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing’s Eli Tomac is lucky to escaped a big crash in the third and final race last night at Anaheim 2.

The current 450 points leader was battling with Cooper Webb in the final race when he got off line on the takeoff of the first three and went down huge when he landed on some Tuff Blox. Tomac did remount, but only got back to 13th to end up sixth overall on the night.

Tomac posted on his IG today that he is fine and will be ready for Houston next weekend:

“Well I’ll start off by saying I’m Ok and will be just fine for next weekend! So thankful to walk and ride away from this one unscathed. I jumped the triple “on” to the table top multiple times throughout the day from the second and third rut. With Cooper on the inside I think my instincts to not jump towards him caused my mistake to drift left off the ramp. Obviously lucky for this to happen in the triple crown format and salvage 6th overall on the night.”

Despite his sixth overall, Tomac still holds the points lead in 450SX by four over Chase Sexton and Webb.
